The members of Red Hot Chili Peppers are ready to scrunch into a vehicle with The Late Late Show host James Corden for the latest version of his popular segment, Carpool Karaoke. The episode will air on the evening of June 13 and will find the band singing along to some of their more well known tracks with Corden behind the wheel belting along.

Since Corden took over as the Late Late Show host, one of his most popular segments has been Carpool Karaoke, where he invites a popular musician to drive along with him into work, all while the cameras roll and the host and his guest sing along to some of their biggest hits and occasionally a surprise track from other artists. So far, it's mostly been pop acts participating, with Corden even recently hosting a Broadway edition, so the Chili Peppers will bring the most rocking flare to the segment yet.

Drummer Chad Smith recently teased a bit of the segment with an Instagram video (see below) that appears to feature a shirtless James Corden and Anthony Kiedis belting along. The segment is expected to include the band performing the songs "Under the Bridge," "Californication" and the current single "Dark Necessities." The Getaway album, featuring "Dark Necessities," arrives June 17, so the June 13 guest turn is perfectly timed in the lead up to the album release. You can currently pre-order the disc here. Red Hot Chili Peppers have tour dates lined up through the year and you can find them playing at these locations. The Late Late Show With James Corden airs at 12:37AM ET/PT on CBS.

In other Red Hot Chili Peppers news, bassist Flea recently took part in a video interview with SRF Virus [as initially reported by Alternative Nation] in which he spoke about once working with late Nirvana mastermind Kurt Cobain amongst other topics. “I learned a lot from Kurt Cobain, not particularly from the time I played trumpet with them, but I think the same thing that everybody had the opportunity to learn, just that he was a very dedicated songwriter who was able to cut through all of the bulls--t, and focus on the essence of music," stated Flea.
