It's official. Hollywood is useless.

"Memento" broke my brain when I saw it. It was raw and emotional. It twisted and turned, and left me with a pit in my gut and a feeling I couldn't shake for a few days. It AFFECTED me.

It was Guy Pearce in utter brilliance. It was Christopher Nolans first breakout film. It was genius.

And, of course, since no one can do anything original anymore, a company that bought the film's rights (along with others like Donnie Darko and Rush) is going to remake the movie. AMBI Pictures has apparently started a $200 million dollar fund to film the remake, saying they "intend to stay true to Christopher Nolan’s vision and deliver a memorable movie that is every bit as edgy, iconic and award-worthy as the original."

We know the ending. It was already memorable. That's why we don't need a remake.

I hope this falls flat on it's face.

The world doesn't need a Donnie Darko remake either. Just putting it out there.
