If you're a certified Super Nerd like me, you're likely a big fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000. If you're not, I'll bring you up to speed: a guy and his two robot friends watch cheesy movies and make jokes. It's pretty great. And this past year, after a massive Kickstarter campaign to bring the show back, a new season with an all-new cast premiered on Netflix. Now, that cast is taking the show on the road, and they're stopping in New York this weekend.

Host Jonah Ray, along with robots Crow, Tom Servo, and Gypsy, plus original host Joel Hodgson, are all going to be there, riffing on old movies and performing sketches for the audience. It'll also feature pre-recorded material from the new mad scientists, played by Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt. They'll be at the Playstation Theater in New York City on Saturday, July 8th, and they'll actually be doing two shows. The first, at 6:00 PM, is a riff on Eegah, a famous movie from the classic run of MST3K, but this time with brand-new jokes and material. The second show, at 9:30 PM, is being kept a secret, but the site says that it's a fun sci-fi thriller that has never been featured on the show.

The new season of the show was incredible and every bit as good as the original run, so I'm sure this live show will definitely be worth checking out. You can get your tickets through the website right here. And prepare to get the theme song stuck in your head for weeks. (I'll send them cheesy movies, the worst I can find - La la la!)
