The Gap Warehouse fire in Fishkill happened a year ago and there still has been no arrest in this arson case. The reward for info has now been substantially increased.

The blaze at the Gap Distribution Center in Fishkill happened on August 29, 2016 and it was one of the biggest fires Dutchess County has experienced in a long time. After firefighters got it under control, rumors about how it started were flying around like crazy. Investigators came to the conclusion that it was arson.

Everybody thought this case would be wrapped up within a week. Here we are a year later and the reward money has been increased from $7,500 to $25,000 if information leads to an arrest. That kind of money might just entice someone to spill the beans.

The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information that might help crack the case, please contact the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

You can contact ATF by phone at 888-ATF-FIRE (888-283-3473), email ATFTips@atf.gov, or online at www.atf.gov/contact/atf-tips .

Of course all information will remain confidential. This was a huge fire that cost millions of dollars and one man lost his life while working to clean up the destruction caused by it. Hopefully those responsible will be caught and served justice soon.
