A Hudson Valley real estate heir, who faces a murder charge in California, will serve over seven years in prison after a judge agreed to a plea deal on a New Orleans gun charge.

Durst recently plead guilty to a felon possession of a firearm. He was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine and $100 special assessment.

The Westchester man was the subject of the popular HBO miniseries, "The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst" which centered around the murder of his friend and author Susan Berman.

According to USA Today, the 72-year-old has been charged with murder in the case and is awaiting trial in California.

HBO's "The Jinx" also investigated the disappearance of Durst's first wife, Katie Durst, in New York in 1982, and the 2001 death and dismemberment of Morris Black, a neighbor in Texas.

Durst said he killed Black in self-defense and was acquitted of murder. He states he’s innocent in the Berman killing.
