The hotel that was too impossible for Hotel Impossible is now for sale. The troubled Woodstock Lodge was just listed online today.

A Craigslist listing for the property starts by saying, "own a piece of history." Although there is no mention of the bad press the Woodstock Lodge received from appearing on the Travel Channel this fall, some fancy wording has made this property, that was depicted as completely rundown and uninhabitable on TV, seem like quite the bargain at $1,850,000.

The ad continues, "Take a Step Back in Time at the quaint and rustic Woodstock Lodge, located on a scenic parcel of 6.5 acres and within walking distance to the charming village of Woodstock, NY." The description notes that the lodge includes "12 cabins and 28 cabin / lodge rentals," but there is no mention if any repairs were made to cabins B, C & D, which were listed as unsafe and shut down by the Ulster County Department of Health in response to concerns raised by the Hotel Impossible appearance.

The listing for The Woodstock Lodge ends with a slight warning: "Minor changes and aesthetic upgrades will bring this property to its full potential."

Viewers of The Travel Channel may see that as a bit of an understatement.

If you are interested in making an offer on the property, the lodge is being sold by Baer & McIntosh Homes.
