Additional details have been released about the night Scott Weiland passed away on his tour bus. A report on the 911 dispatch call has been made public along with a report that Weiland's bassist, Tommy Black, said he was "not surprised that Weiland had died."

According to Bloomington's FOX 9, more than a month after Scott Weiland died from an overdose of multiple substances, Bloomington, Minn. police released the 911 transcript. It shows that Scott Weiland & the Wildabouts tour manager Aaron Mohler went to check on Weiland after Scott's wife, Jamie, became worried that she hadn't heard from the former Stone Temple Pilots / Velvet Revolver singer.

Scott appeared to be sleeping in the bus' back bedroom, so Mohler attempted to shake him awake. Weiland was known to be a heavy sleeper, so he removed the pillow from under Scott's head to once again try to wake him. It was then Mohler realized he couldn't observe Weiland breathing and called drummer Joey Castillo onto the bus for help. After failing to wake him yet again, they called 911.

“We have a tour bus parked out front of the lot and I have a guy that… I think he's dead. He's not moving. He's stiff,” the caller told 911 dispatch, as reported by the Star Tribune. "I mean he's, he's like hard as rock right now, not moving. There's no breath. There's no nothing." As the tour bus did not have a defibrillator on board, dispatch issued instructions to attempt chest compressions on Weiland.

A small amount of cocaine was found in Weiland's bedroom and later in the singer's system according to the official toxicology report. The band and crew informed police that Weiland had been drinking vodka and tequila quite heavily right before his death, was taking the opiate blocking drug Suboxone and prescription drugs. Police were also told Weiland had been using cocaine as recently as a week before his death and took MDA (ecstasy) a day or two prior to passing away.

An investigator wrote that everyone in the vicinity was visibly upset, though Tommy Black commented he wasn't surprised Weiland had died.
