Weeks later, sadly, a second local high school senior died from injuries he sustained during a rollover crash in Dutchess County, just days away from graduation.

On Tuesday afternoon, Arlington Central School District Executive Principal, Dr. Paul M. Fanuele, informed the community that 17-year-old Dillon F. Colon of Poughkeepsie passed away as a result of a car accident from nearly two weeks ago.

Dillon's family decided to donate his organs. Here's how you can help his family in their time of need.

On Wednesday May 31, State Police from the Poughkeepsie responded to the area of 60 Todd Hill Road in the Town of LaGrange for a reported one-car rollover auto collision.

Following the crash, a police preliminary investigation indicated that a Chevy Malibu driven by Colon was traveling west on Todd Hill Road. The vehicle exited the northern shoulder of the road and hit a tree, police say.

Members of the LaGrange Fire Department extricated Colon and his passenger, 17-year-old Ryan J. Mucci of Poughkeepsie, from the car.

Both Arlington High School seniors were transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

The day after the crash, Mucci succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the crash. Colon was listed in critical condition.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, but speed is believed to be a contributing factor.

Counselors will be available for students at the Arlington High School.

Our thoughts and prays are with the friends and families for both students.
