The Mortal Kombat series of video games is one of the most iconic (and controversial) of all-time. It was also one of the most rabidly played and dissected games of its time. It seems surprising that after all this time, there still remain some hidden elements, but that's exactly what was just discovered.

Everyone who played the game combed through it meticulously, hoping to discover one of the much-discussed hidden characters or settings. I mean, it got to the point where the urban legends were so prominent that they were actually implemented into future versions of the Mortal Kombat franchise--the word "ERMACs," for "Error Macros," was seen on an audit screen, leading people to believe there was a hidden character named "Ermac," which was later created and added to the game, for example.
