This weekend after decades of blood, sweat and tears the spot on replica of the Spirit of St. Louis will fly again at the Rhinebeck Aerodrome.

A few months back I brought you an amazing story about the most authentic reproduction of Charles Lindbergh’s famed Spirit of St. Louis, built right here in the Hudson Valley. The recreation has taken nearly 50 years and countless hours from supporters to create but that dream became a reality last December when Aerodrome pilot and aircraft restorer/builder, Ken Cassens it took to the sky's for it's first flight. Now after months of anticipation the prized recreation is ready to be unveiled to the public.

This Saturday, May 21at the community is invited out for a day of special events which will highlight the replica and it's sensational history. Highlights include tours of the grounds, special lectures and seminars, vintage aircrafts and automobiles, bi-plane rides and of course you'll be able to see the Spirit of St. Louis take to the sky in her grand debut. Be sure to hang out after the flight as events don't stop there. A special fundraising gala will also be held to close out the evening.

A fun day for the whole family to enjoy. Be sure to check out more information on the event or to purchase tickets for the gala visit www.spiritoftheaerodrome.com.
