You may have heard of Millennials, Generation X, Baby Boomers, and even Generation Z, but have you ever heard of the Sandwich Generation? When I mentioned this group to a friend, I received a very quizzical look.

The Sandwich Generation are made up of individuals who are raising their children while also taking care of an aging parent. The challenges can be many and the choices are hard. You can find yourself researching daycares and, at the same time, trying to figure out how Medicare works.

It's not easy and sometimes getting information of any kind can be a very frustrating process. But, there is help on the way for you as well as for area seniors.

The Dutchess County Office of the Aging will present a series of Senior Seminars on Nov. 3 at the New Hackensack Reformed Church on 376, just south of the Dutchess County Airport.

Three sessions will be held, starting at 9:30 am and will cover a wide range of topics such as Medicare Tips, Alzheimer's Disease, Age Discrimination, Organizing vs. Hoarding and much more.

While I realize Nov. 3 is a little way off, these seminars will fill up quickly so the time to reserve your space is now. Call 845-486-255 to register for any of these seminars.

You just might get the help you've been needing so that you can not only take better care of the people in your life, but reduce your stress as well.
