Senator Chuck Schumer's regional director for the Hudson Valley was arrested on drug charges Monday. The aide, Cody Peluso has been put on leave following the incident.

According to the Associated Press, Peluso was pulled over in Stony Point and booked on charges of steroid and pill possession. He was released on $100 bail and will have to return for court sometime in June.


Schumer along with fellow New York Senator Kiersten Gillibirand just announced $600,000 in funds to clean up Brownfield sites in Wappingers Falls and Kingston. $400,000 will go to projects in Kingston while the rest will be used in Wappingers.
