Bad news for well...most of us! New studies highlighted by Elite Daily show that sitting down all day is increasing your (our) mortality rate. Thats right, now when you say you're killing yourself at work, you may literally killing yourself! According to the article research shows that sitting all day drastically increases your risk of dying early from disease or other health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes as well as cancer.

The studies reveled that even if you work out every day, stay fit and active we are still susceptible.  In fact one study that monitored over 90,000 women over 12 years found that the women had a 12 percent increase of dying from virtually any health condition if they sat for 11 hours or more a day. Even more shocking the study showed a 27 percent increase of dying from heart disease and a 21 percent increase of dying from cancer. So how do we avoid kicking the bucket sooner than expected? MOVE! That's right, get up periodically during the day. Go for a walk, dance, stretch it out. Do what ever you need to to keep the blood following. This will also help increase your metabolism and of course working out also helps! From now on I will have to do my show standing up...this may result in some technical glitches but I guess that's no different than any other day! Now move people!
