Well, I'm being optimistic. This winter has been such a pain in the ass that I'm half expecting some random storm to form in the Hudson Bay in Canada and drop 3 feet of snow on us. But let's think positive thoughts!

We've been cooped up for months. We haven't seen bare ground since last year. What have you been planning for the new seasons, activity wise.

ACTIVITIES!

I'm a trail runner now. My shape may not indicate it (what's up, middle aged gut) but I run a lot of OCRs. Obstacle Course Races. They're amazing. You get to run through the woods, play in mud and get a beer at the end. There's going to be a Spartan Race in Tuxedo late May/early June. There's going to be some Warrior Dash's all over the place, and a few smaller races in New Windsor which are still awesome fun. (MudMan X, where's the schedule already?) I'll be at all of those bad boys.

But what else are we looking at for fun stuff outdoors to do? I'm a big fan of the IDEA of ziplining, but I've never been. Hikes, I'm down for. Ever rafting and kayaking.

Let's get some ideas moving, people! What have you got planned for the outdoors in the next couple months? We live in a pretty spectacular area, we should get out and enjoy it.
