Fan fiction and films. Sometimes it's hard to believe just how many talented people there are out in the world, and what they can do with equipment and software that's getting better, cheaper and more affordable.

No one REALLY likes the second trilogy, for obvious reasons. Clunky plot formula's, ridiculous dialogue, and sometimes easily hate-able characters. But one character who should have been carried the entire way through the series was Darth Maul. That dude was straight scary as hell. Ruthless, brutal and phenomenal. But they had to kill him off early, but he was too good for the rest of the characters to go up against. (Nope, not bitter in the slightest. Not me. No sir.)

Entire a 15 minute fan film, showing the end of Darth Maul's training as a Sith Lord and how Palpatine was making sure he was prepared to do some serious evil stuff. The graphics, the fighting, the choreography. All of it was simply a vehicle to show just how nefarious Darth Maul could be, and it showed. There wasn't a ton of dialogue, but it didn't need it.

It's stuff like this that makes me wonder HOW episodes 1-3 ended up so not good. I get that it's only 15 minutes, but this fan film is pure brilliance.

How long until episode 8 again?
