Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels has achieved a crossover success significantly higher than its animated predecessor, and their battle with the Empire is far from over. As Season 3 prepares for a climactic endgame, Lucasfilm confirms Season 4 will bow in fall 2017.

Even as the animation cycle dictates that Star Wars Rebels Season 4 was already well into production, Lucasfilm and Disney XD made it official. Notably, the announcement also revealed “fans can look forward to more details and an announcement about the exciting fourth season of Star Wars Rebels during Star Wars Celebration in Orlando this April.”

Here’s what Disney XD had to say:

The team behind ‘Star Wars Rebels’ delivers epic storytelling that has captivated fans of all ages across the globe. We’re excited to continue sharing the journey of these fan-favorite Rebels with our audience in the fall.

One does have to wonder what exactly the lifespan of Star Wars Rebels might be, considering the story is only a few years’ removed from the events of Rogue One, by which time only Hera, Chopper and The Ghost were seen to be active. Rebels also forged a number of its own connections to the live-action film branch, which could very well garner an announcement at Star Wars Celebration in the coming weeks.

We’ll see what news April brings, but stay tuned for more on the final Star Wars Rebels Season 3 episodes, as well as Season 4 this fall.
