Texas Roadhouse, Popeyes, and an Outdoor Recreation Center featuring go-carts may all be coming to the Town of Poughkeepsie.

On Thursday, Feb. 18 at 6PM, the Town of Poughkeepsie Planning Board will hold site plan hearings on three proposals to bring Texas Roadhouse, Popeye's and Spins Bowl Outdoor Recreation to the Town of Pougheepsie. The public hearings will give residents a chance to weigh in and comment on the proposals.

Texas Roadhouse would be constructed at 2323 South Road, the Town of Poughkeepsie Planning Board agenda states. According to the company’s website, the eatery is a known for their legendary steaks while also serving ribs, made-from-scratch sides, and fresh rolls.

Popeyes is proposed at the former Nellie Kelly’s site located at 535 Haight Avenue. The Louisiana Kitchen is a fried chicken fast food chain. Popeyes was founded in 1972 in New Orleans, Louisiana and features spicy or mild fried chicken as well as chicken tenders, seafood, and sides

Spins Bowl Outdoor Recreation is planned for 47 Taft Avenue. Spins Bowl recently purchased the former Hoe Bowl location and spent $2 million on renovations of the bowling alley. The outdoor recreation center is expected to feature go-cart tracks, a ropes course and outdoor dining.

The planning board will have to vote on all the proposals before construction can begin at any of the sites.
