Everyone goes into the New Year with the best of intentions, full of ambition and hope that they'll keep to the ideals and goals they're set as the year gets one number higher.

And sometimes, when the first full month has gone by, they've already given up on those resolutions. Everyone has done it. But there's one sure fire way to make you more inclined to keep to a change in your health.

SPEND SOME MONEY! COMMIT TO A RIDICULOUS PHYSICAL CHALLENGE!

Spartan Race is one of the big dogs of mud runs and obstacle course racing. They've held military races before, but they've never held one at West Point. However, after August of this year, I'll no longer be able to say that.

August 26th! It's only one day, and it's a sprint, but it's going to be in a ridiculous place. I know you think of West Point and think of the fort. However, the terrain around it can be NASTY. Straight up one road from West Point is Harriman State Park, and I mean straight UP. Sometimes it's way inclined. There's some really technical ground that can kill your ankles and torture you slowly.

I've got a couple personal goals this year, but this one is at the top of my list.
