Recently, we've gotten to say hello to a new neighbor of the Tappan Zee bridge. Soon we'll have to say goodbye to the bridge itself and then say goodbye to the awesome and fun name as well.

Ah, The Tappan Zee, as someone who isn't a Hudson Valley native it's just so much fun to say. As fun as it is we've got to move on people.

There's a new bridge in town and with it comes a new name. No, it's not called "The New Tappan Zee" or "The Billion Dollar Bridge" even though it did cost billions. I'm sorry but I'm just tired of hearing the wrong names. How will we learn if we don't address it properly? The new structure is called the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. You've got to admit that it doesn't have the same ring to it.

Make sure when you cross it you try to say "Mario M. Cuomo Bridge" five times fast.

What exactly should happen to the old bridge when it's time? Another walkway? Of course, we couldn't call it "Walkway over the Hudson."
