A political candidate in Kentucky could have lost his election due to a routine traffic stop.

This story is crazy, but true: the Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky was arrested over the weekend after being pulled over. Of course, the first thought goes to DUI or DWI as the reason. Maybe resisting arrest. Perhaps he was speeding and driving so recklessly that they had to bring him in.

But you'd be wrong.

Nope, he was arrested for not returning a library book.
