Will you be heading to the stores on Black Friday this year? Or staying warm in your beds still trying to sleep of your turkey coma?

One store made the announcement this week, that every one of their locations nationwide will be closed on Black Friday this year. Black Friday is historically the busiest shopping day of the year as consumers try to snatch up bargains for the Christmas holidays.

Outdoor sporting goods company REI is the one saying that their stores will be dark on Black Friday, all of their 143 stores.  REI's CEO Jerry Stritzke says the day after Thanksgiving is the perfect time for people to remember that "being outside makes our lives better." He also encourages the company's loyal customers to skip the sales and instead spend the day outdoors. People can even take to social media to talk about their Black Friday plans with the hashtag "OptOutside."
