Storm Damages Poughkeepsie Home

Last weeks storm took it tole on Dutchess County. Power outages were sporadic within the city limits. Luckily for me, I didn't not lose power or suffer any damage to my home & property.

Unfortunately for my neighbor this was not the case. Around 10pm Friday night, the winds were strong. So strong in fact that I heard a loud bang followed by a few smaller yet still disturbing bangs. After I calmed my dog down from barking at the unknown I looked out the window and noticed some debris from my neighbor's home pirouetting on our adjacent driveways.

I couldn't see the extent of the damage until the next morning when I walked outside and noticed just how much siding was ripped off. It manage to somehow fly off his house and land 50 feet away into my back yard. The banging I'm assuming was the collision of house siding and my vinyl privacy fence.
