Suicide Squad is a film about DC super-villains tasked with defeating something more evil than their sinister forces combined, so we weren’t exactly expecting a bunch of those pesky superheroes to show up and spoil their fun. We already knew that Ben Affleck’s Batman has a small role in the David Ayer film, but apparently there’s another DC superhero making a surprise appearance. Spoilers ahead, obviously.

As confirmed by the trailers, Affleck is reprising his role as Bruce Wayne / Batman from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but he’s not the only Justice League member with a cameo in Suicide Squad. WB released an official press kit for the upcoming film (via iO9), and there’s a very interesting name listed among the credits: The Flash, played by Ezra Miller.

Miller’s intro in Batman v Superman was a bit more involved than the Aquaman and Cyborg cameos, but it still didn’t give us much to go on. That changed last weekend when WB revealed the first footage from Justice League at Comic-Con, and while Jason Momoa was pretty great, it was Miller who effectively stole the show with his charismatic take on the Scarlet Speedster.

All of which is to say that we have absolutely zero complaints about a Flash cameo in Suicide Squad — especially since we’ll have to wait until next fall to see Miller back on the big screen in Justice League, and his solo film doesn’t arrive until 2018. But if Miller is as good as that Justice League footage implies, maybe we’ll see him again sooner rather than later.

Suicide Squad arrives on August 5.
