A heroin deal went bad for 2 suspects in Hurley earlier this week as police interrupted the suspected transaction. Members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team aka URGENT, have reported the arrest of 2 individuals involved.

As officers approached on foot, the suspects Sean Moorhus of Saugerties and Kevin Hunter of Woodstock both put their respective cars into gear in an attempted to flee. The Red Ford Ranger, driven by Hunter, sped directly at an officer forcing him to jump out of the way. The other vehicle a tan Toyota 4 Runner, driven by Moorhus, sped toward a group of officers before hitting a tree. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended.

Thankfully officers only sustained minor injuries during the incident, this could have ended much worse. Both suspects face a long list of charges.
