Netflix has been around long enough that its generational users interface very differently; some solely focused on streaming, while others continue physical media, and others still swear by five-star ratings. Now, Netflix has decided to overhaul its ratings system significantly, even adding a compatibility option.
Sony’s live-action Barbie movie project has had a bit of a bumpy development process, initially hiring Diablo Cody to pen the screenplay (yay!) before tossing it out (boo!) and hiring three more (!) writers to deliver competing screenplays (huh?) — leaving us with little idea of what to expect from this wacky film. That drastically changed today, as Amy Schumer has officially been cast in the title role in the Barbie movie, which has an official screenplay and everything.
Like any mega-star comedian, Amy Schumer has an extensive resume of earlier appearances on TV. Girls fans in particular might remember Schumer’s brief role as the overbearing friend of Adam’s ex, as well that Schumer previously auditioned for the role of Shoshanna, which creator Lena Dunham now explains “wasn’t meant” to be.

So far Schumer has announced nineteen dates in ten cities, several of which are right here in New York. Guess we're lucky we live in her home state!
