Welcome to the Hudson Valley, Angry Orchard. The hard cider maker held the grand opening of their new Walden headquarters Friday afternoon.

The unseasonably warm November weather allowed guests to enjoy cider samples on the sprawling porch and fire pit overlooking the Shawangunk Ridge. Angry Orchard's 60-acre research and development center was constructed on land purchased from the Crist family in April.

The location had been a farm since the 1700s, with its first apple trees dating back over 100 years. The headquarters, which is known as the Angry Orchard, will hold its first tastings during limited hours in November. On Friday, Saturdays and Sundays now through Nov. 22, the Angry Orchard will be open to the public from 11AM to 5PM.

Growlers and Angry Orchard merchandise is available for purchase at the location.

In the months and years to come, the Angry Orchard will be the site of the company's cider experimentation and development of exciting new varietals.
