Take A Photo With Santa, Benefit Poughkeepsie Artists

Rockin' Santa is coming to town and he's making a list and checking it twice. Darkside Records in Poughkeepsie is set to host the jolly one all to benefit young Poughkeepsie artists.

Bring the whole family along on Saturday, December 15th anytime from noon until 4 PM and snap a photo with Santa. All the proceeds go to The Art Effect which is a Poughkeepsie based program that empowers youth through the arts and media.

Known for his generosity and rock and roll vibe, Rockin' Santa has helped out a number of charities including the SPCA, Emma's Army Foundation and the North East Westchester Special Recreation.

According to their website, The Art Effect was just born on January 1st of this year as a result of a merger between Mill Street Loft and Spark Media Project. Both were local non-profits dedicated to arts education and youth development. The merger of the two programs creates a powerful single agency committed to the local community.
