I've heard about Tap New York many times over the years and never had time to go. This year was my first experience going to Hunter Mountain for Tap.

I bought a ticket early and took one of many Hudson Valley Bus tours that bring you right to Hunter. Not driving allowed me to enjoy as much of this event as it had to offer.

The most handiest item I purchased was a pretzel necklace. This acted as a pallet cleanser between beer samples. While I didn't sample every single beer, I did try a lot of the stouts, porters and ales. The necklace was a hit this year, nearly everyone had one. I offered to share mine with anyone not shy enough to bite it off my necklace. Made for some hilarious moments in this video.

Everyone I met there was eager to cheers their glass with me and enjoy some of the greatest creations brewed here in New York.
