Since it's inception the Taste NY initiative has been spreading across the state the wildfire. Creating great opportunities for New York businesses and getting New York products into the hands of millions of consumers.

This week Governor Andrew Cuomo highlighted the success of the project, announcing that the Taste NY initiative exceeded his goal of doubling gross sales for participating business in 2016.

"Taste NY shines a light on New York’s world class food and beverages, and this milestone demonstrates the continued and growing demand for locally made and homegrown goods," Governor Cuomo said. "By promoting these great New York products, we are helping to support local farms and businesses, create jobs and increase economic growth across New York. With the holiday season still ahead of us, the Taste NY initiative is poised to have an even greater 2016.”

According to officials in 2015 Taste NY business brought in approximately $4.5 million dollars. In this years State of the State address Governor Cuomo set out to double those sales but that goal was greatly surpassed and in less than a year. So far Taste NY business have brought in more than $10.5 million dollars in gross sales, and there's still time left. Taste NY businesses and products can be found across the state at special Taste NY stores and cafes, rest stops, welcome centers, parks and various other pop up locations at sporting events and concert venues.
