Ready for some early spring weather?

The Hudson Valley enjoyed a mild Wednesday, with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. And if you enjoyed the weather Wednesday, you're going to love what the forecast has in store for the area as we get into towards the end of the week.

Meteorologists say that highs Thursday and Friday will be in the upper 60s, with some areas possibly even topping out at 70 degrees. Lows Friday night will only be near 50 degrees.

Is it really February?

According to Weather Underground, the record high for Poughkeepsie for February 23 was 66 F degrees set in 1985. Keep in mind, the high temp for this date just two years ago in 2015 was only 28 F. The low that night? Try -1 F. Yeah, no thanks.

Saturday will bring a chance of heavy rain and even some afternoon thunderstorms as highs are expected to be in the 60s again.

Winter will return however, as lows that night will dip back down to the 30s, and only reach the lower 40s by Sunday.
