Many in the adult industry are up in arms over new health regulations from the state of California.

According to some thespians of adult entertainment, the regulations--including "use of protective eye gear in some situations"--the measures that are being taken will harm the product and make the scenes seem sterile and medical in nature, rather than titillating and enticing.

Members of the adult industry are hoping to get a say in the matter and to represent themselves and their business interests before the wholesale implementation of these new regulations. Otherwise, as some have speculated, this could force productions into a shadier, more underground and unregulated world.
