The Revivalists Discuss Their Hudson Valley Connection With WRRV

The Revivalists rocked out at Mountain Jam over the weekend and Simon had a chance to interview them before they took the stage. While they started the band in New Orleans, tt turns out they have a local connection.

Guitarist Zach Feinberg is originally from Westchester County and used to go to shows at The Chance in Poughkeepsie. That includes a high energy Spin Doctors show back in the day. Lead vocalist David Shaw is from Ohio and has embraced the New Orleans vibe in the band.

Men Amongst Mountains, their most recent release was first available in 2015. It took nearly two years for 'Wish I Knew You' to reach #1 on the charts. While they're not ready for a new album yet, they did play some new material at their show on Friday.

After Mountain Jam the band took off for their next gig in Atlantic City and let Simon know they'd be hitting the black jack table later on in the evening.

The Revivalists will be back in New York on August 10th for a show at Central Park Summerstage.
