The Video Game Documentary We’ve All Been Waiting For

The greatest (and now officially true) video game urban legend’s documentary trailer is here.

As you know (from me posting about it a million times), the story of the buried ET Atari game cartridges is one of my favorite weird stories. As part of a series of gaming docs being released by Microsoft, the trailer for Atari: Game Over is here and it looks just as fascinating as I’d hoped: the full story about how an unbelievable amount of video game cartridges of the failed ET game ended up in a landfill in the middle of the desert.

It will be available to stream on Xbox this fall.
