Third Eye Blind got political at a concert in Cleveland Tuesday as the Republican National Convention was in town. According to their Facebook page, the band was playing an unrelated benefit for Musicians on Call.

...we suspected that convention types might show up and we let it be known we were there to support Musicians on Call and that we in fact repudiate every last stitch of the RNC platform and the grotesque that is their nominee.

During the show lead singer Stephen Jenkins made several comments in support of LGBT rights and throwing his weight behind 'science' which angered some in the crowd. After the fact, they took to social media to offer counter points to several of the Republican platforms, directing frustration towards what they see as unjust positions on several issues.

Third Eye Blind performs in the Hudson Valley at the WRRV Summer Concert on August 23rd. They're playing the Fairgrounds on opening night of the Dutchess County Fair.
