An unlicensed and impaired driver was finally arrested after leading police on three wild chases throughout the Hudson Valley.

On Thursday around 8:30 p.m., a City of Newburgh police officer spotted a known wanted man driving on Broadway. The man allegedly led police on two chases throughout Orange County earlier that day.

The driver, 45-year-old Hector Camacho Jr. of the City of Middletown failed to stop for police and again led police on a wild chase, police say.

The chase ended in the Town of Newburgh after Camacho lost control of his car. He was charged with reckless endangerment, aggravated unlicensed operation, felonies, driving while ability impaired by drugs, reckless driving, criminal possession of a controlled substance , unlawfully fleeing a police officer, all misdemeanors, as well as several other unreleased misdemeanor charges.

Camacho was held pending arraignment in City of Newburgh Court.
