It won’t be hard for this fall to beat the worst summer box office in more than ten years, but it’s gearing up to blow the past few months out of the water. Fall — that is, Thanksgiving, a.k.a. all-the-kids-are-home-from-school-and-looking-for-something-to-do season — is upon us, and with it come some of the most exciting blockbusters of the year. And it’s Marvel vs. DC yet again as two superhero movies vie for the top spot.

On Fandango’s Most Anticipated Fall Movies survey, via Entertainment Weekly, Thor: Ragnarok and Justice League are the two most-hyped films opening in the months between September and November this year. Both look like total superhero extravaganzas, with the trailers for Thor: Ragnarok especially promising a real crowd-pleaser. Following those are Blade Runner 2049, sequel to one of the most lauded science fiction movies ever made, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, sequel to one of the bloodiest and most fun comic book adaptations, and It, which opens this weekend and has already gotten rave reviews.
