Three are accused of welfare fraud in Ulster County. In total, the three allegedly combined to steal over $18,000.

Jenna Fabbie of Sebastian, F.L., formerly of Lake Katrine, was arrested on April 14, 2017, in Florida on an outstanding arrest warrant from Ulster County.

Fabbie was charged welfare fraud, six-counts of offering a false instrument for filing and grand larceny, all felonies.

An investigation, conducted by the Ulster County Department of Social Services Special Investigation Unit, in conjunction with the Office of the Ulster County District Attorney, discovered Fabbie had repeatedly falsified temporary assistance applications and re-certifications from March 2013 to December 2015, officials say.

Fabbie is accused of receiving $14,521.50 in welfare benefits that she wasn’t entitled to.

Fabbie was arraigned in Ulster Town Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $10,000 bail.

John Phillips of Olivebridge, is accused of receiving $1,958 in welfare benefits. Genevieve Thomas of Kingston allegedly stole $2,134 in welfare benefits.

Both were charged with welfare fraud and offering a false instrument for filing. Both were released to reappear in Ulster Town Court at a future date.
