Ah, the golden days of pop-punk emo! The Atari's dropped their fourth album in February of 2003, and "In This Diary" was the first single off the new record. It was actually released before their cover of "The Boys of Summer", which remains a huge hit and is probably one of the best cover songs of all time.

"In This Diary" was perfect for the time period. It was post-Jimmy Eat World commercializing the alternative emo scene, and ended up on the soundtrack of the movie "Perfect Score".

"So Long, Astoria" was a PHENOMENAL album and was totally underappreciated for all the amazing music that was on it. However, if you have to choose 1 song to represent an album, "In This Diary" is a terrific choice.
