It seems the amount of beer related festivals has exploded over the past few years. It just goes to show how popular micro brews have become. I've been to TAP NY up at Hunter 6 times and they do a great job.

I'm a little upset at myself for missing last year's Hudson River Craft Beer Festival at the Beacon waterfront. A big group of friends went and they had a blast. It's tough to get things right during the first year of a big event like this, but they did a great job. This year it's going to be even bigger. I'm excited for 3 main reasons. Yes, they are simple, but essential parts of a successful beer event.

  1. Beer - This goes without saying. But it's important to have a wide variety of beer and with over 50 breweries in attendance, there will be lots of great beer flavors to explore the day of the event.
  2. Food - As much as it's great to drink beer for hours on end, it's always nice to have delicious food options to keep something in your stomach. Nobody wants to embarrass themselves and be "that guy".
  3. Scenery - Being down at the Beacon waterfront on September 20th, you can't ask for a better location for the event. We won't be in full foliage mode, but it's a great time of year to spend some time down by the river.

It turns out there are way more than 3 reasons I'm excited for The Hudson River Craft Beer Festival but maybe we'll re-visit those in a future post. In the meantime if you'd like to get tickets (they WILL sell out in advance) just click the link below and it'll take you right to the page. See you there!
