Trent Reznor Turns 50

The musical genius best known for his dark industrial rock vibe celebrated a birthday on Sunday. Trent Reznor is 50. 

Trent formed Nine Inch Nails in 1988 with the first release being 1989's Pretty Hate Machine. But it wasn't until 1994's Downward Spiral that he achieved mainstream success.

My only experience with the band was at Bonnaroo in 2009 when they performed from 1-3 am in the morning. It was that night Trent announced Nine Inch Nails was breaking up. He ended up up doing a run of underplay dates in major cities after that, but the band was on hiatus for 4 years when that run ended. Here's a killer rendition of 'Terrible Lie' from the 'Roo '09.
