Twitter Launches App To Make You A Broadcaster

Twitter is offering a new perspective on social media with its Periscope app.  With this app, (of course you will need a a decent connection to use it) you can turn into an instant broadcaster by tapping a button inside the Meerkat or Periscope app on your iPhone. Video can then be streamed in real time over Twitter. The app went live this week, just days after rumors surfaced that Twitter had been trying to block a recently-launched rival app called Meerkat.  The big difference between the two apps is that Periscope's does have enhanced video save and replay capabilities where Meerkat, does not allow users to rewatch streaming videos.  Will it be worth it to Twitter and their users? Twitter reportedly purchased Periscope for close to 100-million-dollars in January.
