Two Kingston man were arrested following reports of items being stolen from parked cars.

The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Daniel R. Kelder, 28, and David G. Tresvik, 33, of both Kingston. Kelder was charged with the 4th degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony and 6th-degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor. Tresvik was charged with the 2nd-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, misdemeanors, and a violation for 2nd-degree harassment.

On April 12th, 2016 shortly before midnight, members of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of suspects that were removing items from vehicles parked behind the Dollar General Store in the Port Ewen area.

Deputies were able to locate the suspects walking on Salem Street. Police say Tresvik became uncooperative, confrontational and struggled with police. Kelder was allegedly found to be in possession of a stolen GPS device and an Iphone 6.

Kelder was arraigned in the Town of Esopus Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail and $5,000 bond. Tresvik was released on appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Esopus Justice Court.
