Two Poughkeepsie men were arrested after police received a report of 4 black males waving guns in the air and arguing.

Poughkeepsie 911 received a call of four black males walking up Balding Avenue towards Mansion Street waving guns and arguing. Responding units were able to detain two of the subjects on Balding, the other two fled on foot in different directions. After a short time both fleeing suspects were stopped. One suspect was allegedly in possession of a stolen handgun.

After an investigation, 24-year-old Steven Bellamy was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of stolen property, felonies, and a bench warrant.

Antwan Wakely, 23, was charged with a Parole violation.

The two detained on Balding were released without being charged.
