Following a report of a naked toddler in the streets of Ulster County her father was allegedly found to be in possession of a drugs and an assault rifle.

Wednesday State Police responded to an Ulster County 911 report for a partially naked 2-year-old wondering around in the area of Route 9W in Port Ewen.

Police learned that the child was the daughter of 28-year-old Lashawn J. Brickhouse. Police say he was unaware his daughter went missing and was asleep at his home until woken up by police.

After making contact with Brickhouse police allegedly found evidence of marijuana possession and use within his home.

A search warrant was obtained which allegedly led to the discovery of around 2 pounds of marijuana and an assault rifle. Both that were unlawfully possessed, authorities say.

Brickhouse was charged with 2nd-degree criminal possession of marijuana, 3rd-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Brickhouse was arraigned at Esopus Court and remanded to Ulster County Jail on $10,000 cash/ $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to Esopus Town Court on May 31.
