Ulster County Residents Get a Free Pass to Mohonk Preserve

The Mohonk Preserve is another beautiful reason to love living in the Hudson Valley. Whether you climb, hike, bike, horseback ride, run, ski or snowshoe, Mohonk is the place to be. It was established as a trust in 1963 and in the years since then they've acquired lands, participated in important studies, been used as an outdoor laboratory, worked with the United Nations, and designated a National Historic Landmark(along with the Mohonk Mountain House.)

During Healthy Ulster Spring Week, Ulster County residents can get a free one month pass to the preserve. According to the Daily Freeman, visitors with proof of Ulster County residency can get their passes at the Preserve Visitor Center on U.S. Route 44/state Route 55 in Gardiner from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 23 through April 26 and at the Spring Farm Trailhead in High Falls from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 25 and April 26. The membership passes will be valid through May 21.

This marks the fifth year that the Mohonk Preserve has offered this opportunity to Ulster County Residents. Don't miss this opportunity to get out and enjoy the beauty Mohonk has waiting for you and your family.
