The man who robbed the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union on Tuesday is facing felony charges.

As we reported, Tuesday at approximately 12:32 p.m. the Town of Poughkeepsie Police received a call of a reported bank robbery at the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union on South Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie.

Nicholas J. Salfelder, 33 of LaGrangeville entered the bank, told the teller he had a gun and demanded money. He left the bank with a bag of cash. With a description of the Salfelder, police were able to locate him nearby.

All of the currency was recovered.

Salfelder was charged with Robbery second-degree, a class C felony. He was remanded to Dutchess County Jail on no bail. He is scheduled to return to court today.
