If you need reassurance that there are some good people left in the world, look no further than the tale of 83-year-old, Barry Clark.

Last week we shared the story of Mr. Clark leaving his hometown of East Windsor, New Jersey to embark on a memorial journey. Clark had planned to boat from New Jersey to Lake Champlain with his wife Dolores.

Unfortunately, Dolores passed away about a year ago.

So Barry decided to take the trip in memory of his late wife. On Sunday, August 12th Barry left New Jersey on his journey. He, unfortunately, had to spend the night under the Tappen Zee Bridge due to heavy rain.

A quick detour had him spending the night right here in the Hudson Valley with Jeff Ledoux of Hyde Park. Jeff and his friends shared Barry's story with us and we've been keeping an eye out.

News10 in Albany caught up with Barry on Sunday August 19th. Barry is in good hands, as News10 reports that he stayed at a home in Corinth and his boat was taken care of by the crew at Clark's Steakhouse and Marina. They hooked Barry up with some new rain gear and they even "installed a brand new propeller, along with a full oil change and a full tank of gas."

Barry told News 10 that he has traveled all over the world, even hitchhiking in Australia at one point and realizing they were getting older he and Dolores wanted to plan one last trip.

As if this story wasn't heartwarming enough, Barry is quoted as saying, "It's her voyage, I'm just carrying it out."
