A Walkill man was arrested on multiple felony drug charges after a search warrant was conducted. 

City of Middletown Police Department, with the assistance of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group, the New York State Police and the FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force, conducted the search warrant.

Giovonnie Perez, 30, of Walkill was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd.

Police said Perez was in possession of 110 glassine envelopes of heroin and 74.6 grams of loose, unpackaged heroin. He was also allegedly found to be in possession of 78 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine along with 32 Oxycodone pills and over $10,000 in US currency. The “street value” of the heroin recovered is approximately $25,000 and the value of the crack and crack cocaine is approximately $7600.

No booking photo is available of Perez. He was sent to Orange County Jail without bail.
