Walking to Fight Hunger in the Hudson Valley

As the weather turns colder and fall takes hold of the Hudson Valley, the food pantries in the area will be entering a critical time.  The holidays, especially Thanksgiving is approaching and this is the most critical time for food pantries and food banks in the area.  What happens when your local food pantry runs low on food or has a need for food and supplies?  They turn to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.  The Food Bank is located in Cornwall and is a warehouse for food and supplies that go out to smaller food pantries within the Hudson Valley.

Once again, the Food Bank needs your help.  This Sunday, they will host the 16^th annual Walk to Fight Hunger.  The event is Sunday, October 7, from 10:30am to 2:00pm, at the Walkway Over the Hudson.  Registration and the start of the walk will begin on the Highland side at 10:30am.  There are several ways you can sign up.  Either as part of a team or as an individual.  Sign up and get more by going to their website.
