There's always that one person who likes to push the envelope, and Halloween provides the perfect opportunity for those who like to explore their mischievous side.

Inappropriate Halloween get-ups are a part of the holiday.

You've probably been to Halloween party before where someone shows up dressed as something like genitalia, or a zombie version of recently deceased celebrity, or something else edgy. It's part of what makes Halloween fun.

But was a costume option displayed on the Walmart website taking things too far? Sure, there's humorously inappropriate, but there's also such a thing as being downright tasteless. And this costume may hit way too close to home for those who either suffer depression or mental illness, or know someone who has.

ABC 7 NY reports that a customer complained on social media after the retail giant displayed a  "razor blade suicide scar wound latex costume make up" kit online for $3.99 on it's website.

After this and other complaints, Walmart pulled the costume and offered this statement:

Walmart since pulled the costume from its website and issued this statement:

This costume is appalling and it was unacceptable for a third-party seller to list it on our marketplace. It clearly violated our prohibited items policy and we removed it when it was brought to our attention.

ABC reports that the suicide costume came from a third-party seller known as BlockBuster Costumes, LLC.

According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the annual age-adjusted suicide rate is 12.93 per 100,000 individuals. There is also an average of 117 suicides per day.
